Bali is very popular as a tourist destination and losing or misplacing your passport is very common. The Indian Consulate in Bali will be able to assist you with an emergency travel document. You will however need a police case number for this.

If you live in Bali and need your passport replaced because it is near expiring. You can apply for a new passport when it is 12 months from its expiration date. You can also apply for a new passport if the current passport is damaged or if there are two blank pages left in the passport. If you lost your passport while on holiday then you must report this to the police. The consulate will want a police report on the matter before they start the process. They will provide you with an emergency travel document to travel back to India.

If you have given birth in Bali then you will need all the original documents from the Indonesian government to register the child. There are time limits on this which is normally 6 months before it becomes very difficult to register the child. Note that the child also cannot hold another passport when you register the child.
